With effect from April 2014 our practice became a training practice to hospital doctors. This means we will have doctors who are mid or late point in their final training stages, but are already qualified and registered with the GMC. They are placed in General Practice for approximately 4 months to gain experience outside of a hospital setting. These doctors are eager to meet patients with varying conditions in a non hospital setting. Please give them your time as these are the doctors are the future of the NHS.
From time to time we also have medical students spending time at the practice and sometimes you may be asked to see the doctor or nurse with a student present. You will always be asked beforehand if this is acceptable and you can ask for the student to withdraw from the consultation if you prefer to speak in private.
